Sometimes I use purchased spice blends, and sometimes I just add random spices into my dishes until they taste good. Other times I get super motivated and make my own spice blends so that I have enough to use for several dishes! This Mexican Spice Blend is inspired by the flavors of Mexico and is great on grilled chicken, shrimp, eggs or veggies! Think tacos, fajitas, quesadillas….
It’s as easy as this: 2 Tbs chili powder, 2 Tsp cumin, 1 Tsp paprika, 1 Tsp garlic powder, 1/2 Tsp oregano, 1/2 Tsp coriander, 1/4 Tsp onion powder, 1/8 Tsp black pepper, 1/8 Tsp cayenne powder (optional). Makes about 1/3 cup. Just be sure to keep it in a sealed container.
