Kale…it’s on my shopping list nearly every week! It contains vitamins A, C and K plus minerals and healthy fatty acids… and goes well in everything from soup to salad! I always buy my kale on the stem, so that I can de-stem it myself (I’ve tried the pre-washed, bagged kale, but the bags are always full of stems). And I always cook my kale (steam, microwave, sautee) I find it easier to digest.
So, once it’s cleaned, de-stemmed and and cooked…what do I do with my kale? I season it of course! Because if it’s seasoned and ready to eat I’m MUCH more likely to eat it.
Sesame Seasoned Kale is easy to make and is delicious hot or cold…as a side dish or as a base for an Asian inspired salad!
